Bio

Joel Turner is an artist living in the front range of Northern Colorado and working in figurative, portrait, and animal sculpture, influenced by literary and historical sources. He is a self taught artist resulting from a deep interest in art and all it has to offer.

A welder by trade, Joel began working for the Lundeen family in 2013 and has been involved with many sculptural projects of significance. These projects include the “Stations of the Cross” commissioned for the Cloisters on the Platte Foundation in Nebraska, a 50th anniversary commemoration for the Apollo 11 crew installed at the Kennedy Space Center and countless other privately commissioned projects and large scale sculptures.

At the start of 2020 Joel began his own sculpture business working on private commissions and has seen success in developing his business as a sculptor of exceptional talent. These commissions have included works done for private collectors as well as public installations for cities, organizations, and businesses.

It is through his personal sculptural work where Joel continues to grow his skill. As an avid reader, climber and socialite Joel spends extensive amounts of time outdoors and around people or lost in literature where he finds a wide range of inspiration, all of which he uses to explore forms and compositions to express his ideas.
